Hello Dancer!

Hope your summer is off to a great start. Glad to see so many of you at our June 28th dance. We had a great time and good turnout despite the fact that many dancers are on vacation. We have some fun things coming up, so mark your calendars.;
Dance Class Info:
This week begins a new session of lessons with Jim and Donna.  Here's the Carson Scoop: 
Starting Thursday, July 3rd. Novice class will be 6 weeks $50 6-7pm, Intermediate class will be 5 weeks $50, 7-8pm. Brewery Arts Center (BAC), Carson 
New!! Night Club 2 Step (NC2S) Beginning to Intermediate Lessons in Carson City at the BAC 8-9pm also on Thurs nights starting July 3rd. We'll review the basics then quickly move on to Intermediate patterns - 5 weeks, $50.
Drop-in's ok $12. Each night we'll tackle 4-6 moves. Last 10mins will be music to practice by and special help if you need it.
In Reno, classes are on Wednesdays, starting July 2.   Novice session of 6 weeks $50, 7-8pm; Intermediate class will be 5 weeks $50, 8-9pm. Never Enough Ballroom, Reno across from the Peppermill.
Lastly, there will be a 3 hour workshop on Sunday, July 13th, Never Enough Ballroom, in WCS Intermediate moves. This workshop is by special request from several past students who want to review. Jog your memory on what you've already been taught, and/or learn some new moves. I'll hand out a list of the moves we'll be doing, recommend you take notes. Partners are required so we can move quickly. For those single Followers that registered already, I have 5 single leaders. I'll be contacting you shortly. If you are a single e-mail me right away if you want to participate - especially LEADERS you are needed. $25 per person. Drop-in's $12 per class per person, but bring a partner. lessons.  Hopefully they will be back up and running sometime in August. 

Dancing Opportunities
Monday nights, ongoing, at El Charro at 4389 S. Carson St. from 6:30 - 9:00. Fun dancing and socializing.  Join us.

This is a theme dance, in preparation for Hot August Nights.  Lesson will be East Coast Swing.  Dress is '50's or '60's styles.  So brush off your poodle skirts or pedal pushers gals, and those tight jeans and white T's guys, or hippie attire, and get ready for a fun night of dancing. 
Club Day/Night Out Saturday July 19, HSSDC will travel (carpool, caravan) to Capital Swing Dancer's (CSD) Annual Rafting trip, BBQ, then dance. This is a Big Wet Pile of FUN!!!   Contact Donna Donna@wcs-dancer.com <mailto:Donna@wcs-dancer.com for tickets by July 11th - $35 per person to Raft (includes BBQ), $15 for BBQ only. CSDC's dance follows $7 members, $10 non-members. <http://www.wcs-dancer.com/CSDRaftingTrip.html> We absolutely, positively, must have your check by July 11th, so we can give CSD a head-count for rafts and food. Some folks will go down Friday night rather than drive down on Saturday. Hotel info: We have a small block of rooms arranged for $99 per night - to get this rate you need to call them and reserve by July 11th. Holiday Inn 11269 point East Dr., Rancho Cordova.
